Um... yeah...can I help you?
So Saturday was indeed quite fun over at Rhy's. After Nessa left we played Fluxx until we we're sick of it and then sat around trying to decide what to do next. We came up with... absolutely nothing. I tried my hand at some Chibi Star Wars Episode I racing game and basically got my ass handed to me by the system. Oh well, no surprise there. I went home shortly after and feel asleep, only to be woken up 10 minutes later by my dog throwing up. ::sigh:: What's a mother to do... After that fiasco at 2 a.m. I went back to bed and slept in until noon the next day. Went to work at 2 and can't really say it was all that exciting, until...

It was about 3ish when he meandered through the doors to the basement of Millett. A trashy-looking, unclean man in his mid-50s. He swaggered over to our Help Desk and managed in his gurgling to ask Amy A. (who at this time had the utmost terrified look on her face) to call him a taxi. As I had my headphones on (not loud enough to not hear what was going on clearly) I was graciously ignoring the entire situation, hoping that the drunken hobo would go away. Then as I turned back to my Media Player screen, I heard Amy ask the man, "Are you okay sir? Do you need some help?" I looked back and noticed that the man was bleeding profusely from between the eyebrows. The blood was already dripping down his nose. He reached up and wiped his brow with the back of his hand and placed his filthy hands back on the counter (at this I shuttered and looked away. I have no tolerance for dirty hands touching where my hands are, I'm way too OCD). I quickly told Amy to call Public Safety and ask them to come down here. She complied and within 5 minutes they arrived, only to find that the drunk had wander towards the bathrooms. He was tracked down in no time and they took him to sit on the stairs by the door for questions. Seeing that they were getting nowhere with questioning him as to his home and name (due to his inebriation), they called for an EMT to take him to the hospital. Maybe they would have better luck. When the man was informed that he was located at WSU at the present, he sang our commercial's theme song and laughed. Amy and I stifled back uproarious laughter and simply looked at each other with huge grins on our faces. The EMT strapped the man down, after much debate (he wouldn't sit still for anything) and carted him off. We tried to help the police (after the EMT had loaded their cargo) figure out how the very drunk and bloody vagrant had arrived at our desk and what had happened to him, but seeing as how we didn't know anything more than they did, they left.

So Sunday did turn out to be an amusing day after all. Nice how things turn out that way sometimes...
